We seek to award scholarships to the best applicants across all areas of the School. All scholarship applicants must follow the instructions on how to apply for each scholarship.
All scholarship applicants must also submit an online application for a place on the PhD programme. See the How to Apply page for more details. Awardees of external scholarships will not be considered for the scholarships we offer.
Please note: For all scholarships, we strongly advise that you submit your programme application at least 5 working days before the scholarship closing date. You will not be able to access the scholarship online application form unless you have applied for the doctoral programme at the University of Edinburgh.

Interviews will form part of the selection process for a place on the programmes and are either in person or via Skype, if required. Interviews normally comprise a question and answer session for you to talk about your previous research, your current proposal and intended research project, and your reasons for applying to work with your potential supervisor.
