Roles and Responsibilities

School-wide responsibility for Quality and Accreditations.

Background

Dr Inger Seiferheld represents the School on the College Education Committee and she served on the University of Edinburgh Senate Quality Assurance Committee for three years. In addition, she has experience as external reviewer for QAA Scotland, the Danish Government's Accreditation Institution and AAQ Switzerland. She has led the University of Edinburgh Business School through three EQUIS reaccreditations and four AMBA reaccreditations. She also led the School's Initial Accreditation by the AACSB and two Continuous Improvement Reviews. She is the School's representative for AACSB International, the Association of MBAs, EFMD Global and the UK and Ireland Accreditation network.

Prior to taking on the role as Director of Quality and Accreditations in 2011, Inger was Director of two of the School's Full-time MBA programmes over a period of eight years, and she has been a lecturer in Operations Management, Technology Management, and Design Creativity and Problem-Solving. She was formerly an Assistant Professor at Department of Production (now Department of Materials and Production), Aalborg University, Denmark.

Inger holds an MSc in Industrial Management and a PhD (European Doctorate) in Production Economics. She is a member of the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and she is accredited by Pædagogisk Udviklingscenter at Aalborg University, Denmark.
